Nearly 400 children turned out to participate in the 2021 Scotty’s Pound the Pavement event! This is the 9th year of the annual event sponsored by Scotty’s Contracting & Stone, which takes place at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green, KY. Scotty’s is proud of its long history of support and partnership with the event’s host, Kentucky Kids on the Block, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide ongoing educational opportunities for children.
Hundreds of children (ages 14 and under) and their families gathered at Kereiakes Park on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, to run in the 1/2K, 2K, and 3K races during the ninth annual Scotty’s Pound the Pavement event. The first races began at 8 am, and the male and female winners from each of the three runs received trophies. Every child who participated received a “finishers” medal. The event helps strengthen the Bowling Green community and reinforces healthy habits for children.
