Scotty’s Contracting & Stone reconstructed and widened I-65 to six lanes from the Tennessee state line to Elizabethtown, KY for a total of 92 roadway miles. This 6-year-long project involved excavating 1.2 million CY of dirt, placing 600 tons of aggregate, and laying a total of more than 1.8 million tons of asphalt. Successful partnership on this project brought major safety improvements to one of Kentucky’s busiest traffic corridors.
